About Me
I am a healthcare leader, operations consultant, entrepreneur, and advocate with over 14 years of experience building, operating, and strengthening systems of care across East Africa and beyond. Recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Africa Winner (2025), my work sits at the intersection of healthcare delivery, regulation, ethics, and sustainable impact.
My career has spanned clinical practice, executive leadership, and healthcare systems design. I served as the CEO of White Oak Medical Centre in Nairobi, where I led the centre’s growth into a model for efficient, compliant, and patient-centred outpatient care. My work focused not only on service delivery, but on operational excellence — licensing, inspections, staffing systems, cost control, and regulatory alignment — ensuring the facility functioned sustainably and ethically.
I later founded Elective International, a global health exchange program that placed more than 10,000 medical students across six countries, partnering with hospitals, universities, and ministries to strengthen healthcare capacity while fostering cross-cultural learning. I also created the Jikinge Mobile App, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, using digital health to empower Kenyan youth with HIV/AIDS education, reduce stigma, and expand access to accurate, confidential health information.
Today, I work as a healthcare operations and compliance consultant, advising hospitals, clinics, and healthcare founders on facility setup, licensing pathways, inspection readiness, and systems design. I help organizations translate complex regulations into practical, executable operations — aligning infrastructure, staffing, documentation, and governance with regulatory expectations so facilities can open, scale, and operate with confidence.
Beyond healthcare facilities, my work has always been grounded in community-driven impact. I have organised health camps, food drives, and cancer fundraisers; commissioned boreholes for rural communities; and supported education initiatives for underserved children — driven by a belief that strong health systems must be rooted in social responsibility.
I hold academic training in Health Services Administration from Florida International University and Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Loma Linda University, combining clinical insight with strategic and operational leadership. I continue to advance my expertise in humanitarian leadership, governance, and nonprofit management, reflecting a commitment to lifelong learning and service.
Beyond my professional journey, I am a wife and a mother to two young children, whose presence continually grounds my work in purpose and reminds me why building sustainable, compassionate systems truly matters.
